Please can you advise when the first “Women In Black” demonstration will take place outside the Russian Federal Embassy in Notting Hill?

    For your information:
Successful Russian arm sales even during the pandemic:

Russia is the biggest exporter of arm sales to Africa. Whose next Afghanistan?

Russia has 6,255 nuclear war heads, it has also breached the 1987 Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty, which banned land-based nuclear missiles in Europe.
They have developed and fielded a missile system, the 9M729, which violates the INF Treaty and poses significant risks to Euro-Atlantic security.

There appears to be a smattering of hypocrisy with your organisation about these facts. The Russian community in London would like to know what does Mr. Putin do with all the profits from arm sales as many people are very impoverished and deprived throughout the Russian Federation? E.g. 50,000 homeless children in Moscow.

Thank you for your kind assistance.

    Regards
    Victor

    Dear Victor,
    Thank you for your post.
The standard approach of the Women in Black group in London is to channel our feminist, anti-militarist demands towards those bodies whom we can legitimately hope to influence, such as our own (British) government, rather than those who are not beholden to us (such as institutions in Russia).
Women in Black have already committed to our particular programme of vigils. However, we would tend to agree that the issue of Russia’s arms sales should be brought to the public’s attention. Perhaps you could consider taking on this issue? You have a wealth of knowledge, and would be able to answer any questions put to you by members of the public.
