Our regular monthly vigil for justice and peace for Palestinians took place a few days after the “plan” announced by Trump and Netanyahu, written by Trump’s son-in-law without any consultation with Palestinians or their representatives. This “deal” tramples over the rights of Palestinians; attempts to legitimise the Occupation and unlawful Israeli settlements, condemned by the UN Security Council; and fails to provide any hope for peace with justice for Palestine.
The UK is ruled by one of the very few governments in the world which has welcomed this plan. London Women in Black are calling instead on our government to use all means in its power to influence the Israeli Government to redirect its policies towards ending the Occupation, renewing negotiation with Palestinian leaders for a just peace settlement, affording statehood for Palestinians and equality of citizenship for all peoples within the State of Israel.
